If I get proven innocent of charges, would I be able to sue the party who pressed charges for my money back?
Almost 5yrs ago, my old boss pressed charges on me for Forgery with a Financial Instrument (saying I forged my paychecks). I have been fighting it and just recently forensic handwriting ysis came back inconclusive. They said that they could not confirm nor deny that it is my handwriting (because its not). Over the course of time I have paid attorney and bail bond fees, they froze my accounts and took money from it, I have lost 2 jobs and have not been able to find a decent job with this pending on my record. I just want everything that was taken from me back. Would I be able to sue my old boss for it?
