What is with the Blue Jays first pitch swinging?

I swear most of their outs come from them swining ALWAYS for the first pitch which starts to get VERY annoying after a while. Like today, they were down 3-2 to the Red Sox, Aaron Hill and Adam Lind who carried the team last year swung for the first pitches they saw! That didn't take much for Papelbon did it? Lyle Overbay took his time, got a base hit and WHAT DOES JOHN BUCK DO? Yeah, again with the first pitch swinging! What is with them?
