Please Help! How do I stop/win against this egotistic guy?

one thing you can do is use " not engage" language with him. He is a control person,( it sounds like) and what he wants is to control you , (more than he wants to be with you). I call these type of people " dominant pissers" because they are like male dogs, they will piss on you and piss on you until they feel they have control. ........use non-engaging vocabulary..... like when he talks to you, say " oh" and give him NO Details of your life, In essence, you are not answering him, you use words like " oh", 'uh huh" and so forth, but do not actually engage in a conversation with him, When you engage, even if you are being mean with words or anything, if he is a manipulator, he will use your words against you. It actually works better to do this than to ignore him, unless he is unsafe. When you ignore him, it only eggs him on, like a small child that wants your attention, then he will just keep bugging you more.
