Newport Beach, California this summer?

Im going to Newport Beach in California this summer for a concert and i'm staying at the Pelican Hill hotel, this will be my first time ever in Newport Beach and i was wondering if you could help me out by telling me some fun stuff to do such as beaches where teens my age hang out (i'm a 16 year old girl) or shops or restaurants.
